This was a week of both ups and downs.
The rain was a welcome relief. The farm has been facing irrigation problems for many months now [pic 1]. A portable water tank and pump is being used until the irrigation system can be replaced in January/February 2017.
The rainy season reduced intensive irrigation of plants using the portable pump, and raised vegetable production. It’s heartening to see crops on the rise this week.
There was a water leak from the water tank to the drip tapes. Some of the OA had to halt planting activities to address this critical problem to avoid disruption in farm yield.
