We heave a huge sigh of relief as the persistent water problem at the farm has been largely resolved.
The irrigation at the farm is now improved with the installation of one-way valves to ensure water is delivered smoothly to the water tanks. The pumps are working well, and water tanks can be filled within four hours of pumping.
However, the drippers remain problematic as they are easily dislodged by grass cutting activities, causing much water lost. This requires further trouble shooting. Also, the alternative pump with a 11-metre deep tube well can only fill up 250 gallons of water in 20 minutes before the water level drops, and the replenishment rate may take an hour.
Please contact us if you or someone you know are a water engineer who can help the Orang Asli farmers on this!
